Former Governor of Zamfara State Abdul Aziz Yari rejected the request of Bola Ahmad Tunibu and other APC members to support Godwin Akpabio.

 Yari said that everyone must praise the decision of the Constitution of Nigeria, which said that every citizen has the right to nominate who he wants for his own opinion and not to meet the needs of others.

 Abdul Aziz Yari said that as a Nigerian, he will continue to seek the position of President of the National Senate as the Constitution of the country gives him the right.
