ABUJA: The police have arrested a young man who stabbed his father, causing his death
The Federal Capital Police in Abuja said that they have taken a 16-year-old boy into custody for killing his father.
Haruna Garba, a spokesman for the command, said this on Friday.
Garba said that the young man killed his father when he saw his parents fighting and got mad enough to beat his father with a stick.
He said the boy's hit was what killed the man's father.
Garba said that the police will take the young guy to court 5, which is where these kinds of cases are heard so that investigations can be done.
The force's spokesman then said that the anti-kidnapping unit had saved 14 people who had been taken from Chida village in Abuja's Kwali district.
On April 7, these people were taken away.
He said that ten of them got sick and were being checked out at the Abaji Hospital.
Garba also said that 13 people who had been taken from the towns of Lapai and Tunga Mallam in Niger State on April 13 were saved by the police.
He said that these people will be given to Ardon Galadima in the Lapai local government.
