Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to his hometown, Daura
After handing over power to Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his successor in the presidency of Nigeria, former President Muhammadu Buhari landed in his hometown, Daura.
Buhari boarded the presidential plane with his roommate, Aisha Buhari, some of his children and family and the outgoing Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, after leaving Eagle Square. Square, where they headed to Katsina state.
The new governor of Katsina state, Dr. Dikko Radda, welcomed the former president and his team at the Ummaru Musa Yar'adua International Airport in Katsina.
The plane landed in Katsina at about 01:10 in the afternoon, from there, after a few minute's rest, Buhari, his wife and his son Yusuf and some leaders of the security agencies boarded a helicopter and went to Daura.
