In Sudan, bombings were heard as the battle went on.

For the twentieth day in a row, shooting and explosions have occurred in the Sudanese city of Khartoum.

Witnesses claimed to have heard gunfire and explosions in the streets.

Bombings also occurred in Bihar and Omdurman, two nearby towns.

The army declared that they are prepared to abide by the new seven-day cease-fire deal, but the RSF has not yet responded.

Following a clash with the group in the Bahri army area, the soldiers claimed to have killed RSF soldiers and destroyed some of the rebels' vehicles.

Reportedly, there are operations underway to drive the RSF troops out of the region around the presidential palace and the military headquarters.

Martin Griffiths, the head of the UN's relief operations, claimed that the warring parties' actions represent an effort to escalate the crisis into a global catastrophe.
