Kawu Sumaila Warns Tinubu Against Interrupting Parliament
Abdurahman Kawu Sumaila, the NNPP senator from Kano South, has advised Bola Tinubu to stay away from hypocrites who will trick him into acting inappropriately as the leader of the house.
He revealed this to the media on Tuesday in Abuja and emphasized that the country's constitution is the only way members of the 10th Parliament can address the issues the nation is now experiencing.
Kawu Sumaila asserted that the majority of lawmakers oppose the APC's proposed zonal leadership, and he added that "we are continuing to discuss with 109 senators and I can assure you that we have a large number of senators." He concluded by asserting that the legislature will not trust us to elect a president in the House of Representatives or the Senate that we do not want.
"We want to continue consultation," he continued, "because what we are saying is that Nigeria is facing many challenges and that we have a constitution that we can use to find solutions to the challenges."
He said, "Tinubu has left us to sit and do what is right, especially the things that will unite the country, happiness, and development of this country."
