Klopp accuses Tierney of making a rude comment while giving him a yellow card

Diogo Jota's goal earned Liverpool the victory over Tottenham in the first minute of the game, and Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has accused referee Paul Tierney of using a derogatory term while issuing him a yellow card.

For the second occasion in 18 months, Klopp has criticized the referee and stated that he would really like to know what Liverpool has in store for Tierney.

Despite claiming that he was speaking about the refusal to act when his player Mohamed Salah was attacked as he prepared to receive the ball that Richarlison scored against Tottenham, Klopp received this warning card for the way he celebrated Jota's goal and for physically attacking the assistant referee, John Brooks.

The coach admitted that he had erred in celebrating the goal, but the referee's comments indicated that he had a sinister motive against Liverpool.

Sunday's match between Liverpool and Tottenham ended 3–4.
