Early Years

Mark Edward Fischbach was born on June 28, 1989, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is better known as Markiplier. The Tripler Army Medical Centre is where he was born. Cliffton and Sunok met while Cliffton was stationed in Korea with the U.S. Army. Cliffton died in 2008, but Sunok is still alive. After Markiplier was born, his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. He went to Milford High School, where he played trumpet in the marching band. Markiplier often makes jokes about the fact that he grew up in a poor home. He went to the University of Cincinnati after high school to study biomedical engineering, but he dropped out to focus on his YouTube job. Jason, Markiplier's bigger brother, is an artist who made a webcomic called "Twokinds."

Career

Markiplier joined YouTube in March 2012, and the next month he put up his first movie. He chose the username "Markiplier," which is a mix of his first name and "multiplier," because he planned to post sketch comedy videos in which he played every character. His first YouTube series was a replay of the video game "Amnesia: The Dark Descent." After he played a few more games on his channel, YouTube banned his AdSense account, so in May 2012, he started a new channel called "markiplierGAME." In August 2014, Markiplier started a game of "Five Nights at Freddy's," which went on to get more than 80 million views, making it his most popular playthrough. He later played in other games in the series and had an appearance in the 2019 game "Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery." Markiplier and fellow YouTuber Jenna Mae went on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in September 2015 after Kimmel got criticised for making jokes about Let's Play videos.
