My father will improve Nigeria: Son of Tinubu

Seyi, the son of Bola Tinubu, the next president, has promised Nigerians a brighter nation and renewed optimism for the new administration.

When he joined the ranks of his father's supporters and admirers at the 34-day meeting held prior to his oath of office, he gave this assurance on Saturday in Abuja.

A political pressure group called Patriots in Defence of Democracy organized the official pre-inauguration gathering, which got underway on March 26.

As Mr. Seyi and his entourage arrived at the Unity Fountain Square, where the meeting would take place, they were welcomed with a number of cultural displays.

Assuring the youth that their needs will be prioritized in all areas of the new government, particularly in special positions, he also thanked all the supporters who came to the meeting.

Tosin Adeyanju, the group's principal convenor, said that the regular meeting held prior to the inauguration was held in support of the directive given to Tinubu by Nigerians on February 25.

He claimed that the purpose of the gathering was to recapture recent developments regarding the presidential election and the election of Mr. Tinubu as the winner.

The gathering will go on until May 29, when Mr. Tinubu will take office as the nation's 16th democratically elected president, according to Mr. Adeyanju.

"The participants have been there for 34 days in an effort to drive out anti-democracy speakers and support Mr. Tinubu, the president-elect, in his duties.

As a method to add color to the hangout, he stated, "We got a lot of things, including public awareness to bring health facilities closer to the attendees."

According to Mr. Adeyanju, Mr. Tinubu's friends and well-wishers are financing the event.
