The Inspector General of the Nigerian Police Ordered the Arrest of Son Of Fela Seun Kuti
Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector General of Police, has directed the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to place Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti under arrest for allegedly attacking a police officer.
This past weekend, a video that went viral on social media showed Kuti striking a police officer who was decked out as a king.
According to reports, the event took place on Lagos' Third Mainland Bridge in southern Nigeria.
The Inspector General of Police has also mandated that a thorough inquiry be launched into the circumstances that led to the abuse of the police officer and that the suspect be punished.
Seun Kuti, an Afrobeat musician who was seen on video attacking a police officer in uniform, has been ordered to be detained by the Lagos State Command Commissioner of Police by Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba, CFR.

According to reports, Kuti claimed that the policeman was attempting to assassinate him and his family and stated that he is willing to assist with the inquiry.
Seun Kuti is the son of Fela Kuti, a well-known Afrobeat performer who passed away in 1997.
