The Minister of Civil Aviation Appoints the New Managing Director of FAAN, As Yadudu's Term Expires
The Minister of Civil Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, has announced who will replace the Managing Director (MD) of the National Airport Authority (FAAN), while the term of office of Captain Rabiu Yadudu has expired.
Sirika replaced Yadudu with Kabir Yusuf Mohammed after the term of the FAAN board ended on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Focus News Hausa source, LEADERSHIP reported that President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Captain Yadudu as the MD of FAAN on May 20, 2019.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP, ARTI General Secretary, Captain John Ojikutu (Retired) said that Yadudu's seat has already been replaced.
Although all the efforts made by LEADERSHIP to hear from the authorities on the appointment failed, despite the messages we sent to the Spokesperson of FAAN, Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, but there was no response until the compilation of this report.
Before being appointed as the new MD, Kabir Mohammed was the Zonal Manager of the agency in charge of the North Central Zone.
The appointment came as a surprise as the minister himself was only a few days away from leaving his office.
Almost all the directors of the commission were affected as a reliable source told us, the incident shocked many people who are seen as the outgoing Minister shook the commission.
Kabiru Yusuf Mohammed, he has a lot of experience in the management of airports and has worked in different areas of government and private companies.
