Tinubu has ordered DSS to leave the EFCC office in Lagos
The DSS has been instructed to leave the contentious Economic Anti-Corruption Commission (EFCC) office in Ikoyi, State, immediately, per Bola Tinubu, the president. Lagos.
After learning of the EFCC office's closure on Tuesday evening, the president issued the directive.
According to LEADERSHIP, the EFCC responded on the DSS officers' occupation of its office building and claimed that the move posed a threat to the nation's efforts to combat terrorism.
The anti-corruption organization claimed that DSS officers blocked access to its office on Awolowo Road in Ikoyi, Lagos, by enforcing a cordon.
The EFCC stated in a post on its social media page on Tuesday morning that DSS agents blocked the Lagos officials from entering their office when they arrived at 15 Awolowo Street in Ikoyi on Tuesday morning.
However, in a statement released in response to the accusations and shared on Twitter by its spokesperson, Dr. Peter Afunanya, the DSS refuted this.
According to the DSS's statement, it is improper for the DSS to bar the EFCC from entering its premises. It's not accurate. As stated in the media, there is no disagreement about building 15A on Awolowo Street.
"DSD and EFCC do not compete with one another in any way. The narrative is unfounded.
President Tinubu, on the other hand, stated in a tweet that any issues between the two main government agencies would be dealt with cold water.
