Tinubu met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria
At the Villa Palace in Abuja, Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the country's new president, had a meeting.
The new president urged the nation's bank to take all necessary steps to stabilize the value of the country's currency during his remarks during his inauguration ceremony.
Bola Tinubu also promised to change the CBN's new mechanism for using the new currency the former administration had devised.
In order to strengthen the Nigerian economy, Tinubu remarked, "There is a need to lower the interest rate in order to draw in investors, and then the price regulation system will be adjusted."
Since being selected as the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele has collaborated with three different chairmen.
Emefiele was chosen governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria by the previous administration's Goodluck Jonathan, and President Muhammadu Buhari has enabled him to keep the position to this day.
