Tomato farmers in Kano lost about 2 billion due to a worm
Nigerian tomato farmers in the state of Kano have lost more than 1,500 billion naira because of a worm. They are still figuring out how much they lost.
Many tomato farms have been killed by the "Tuta Absaluta" worm, which has put more than 5,000 farmers out of business in the state.
Because of what happened, there aren't enough tomatoes in Kano state and the places around it.
