Zari calls out Diamond's lies about her desire for a third child
Zari Hassan, a businesswoman, and socialite from South Africa has called out her ex-boyfriend Diamond Platnumz in public for what she says are his lies and efforts to make money off of her name.
In a long Instagram post, Zari talked about how disappointed she was when Diamond said he wanted another child with her.
Diamond was said to have said these things during a date at his house with Ghanaian dancehall singer Fantana. The date was shown in the second season of the Netflix reality show Young, Famous, and African.
Zari said that Diamond's claims were not true and that he was only saying them to make himself look better and get more attention.
In her message, she said, "As the father of my children, I hold you in great regard, and nothing can change that. If there was a chance for us to get along again, you'd run back. It amazes me to see you talking about me with people who come and go in your life.
"You can date whoever you want, and you don't have to include me in your plans. I don't want you, and I don't think about you all the time. In fact, it seems like you are the one who is obsessed with me and can't find anyone else. I want nothing more than respect from you."
Zari also made it clear that Diamond's story was not true, which made her decide to cut him out of her life. She was worried about what the lies he told would do to their kids, who might find out about them while searching the internet.
Zari said, "You lied about me on a show that didn't have a plot. You made up stories about me wanting to have kids with you and being crazy about you. Who do you think you are that I, Zari the Boss Lady, would be crazy about you? Because of our children, you will always be a part of my life, but not in the way I have treated you so far. You are no longer welcome, and if you don't agree, the court will decide. I'm fine without you. With or without you, I have a full life. Last time I checked, no one in East Africa had heard of you until I told them about you. I was already a wealthy millionaire who drove Porsches, owned real estate, and was smart and attractive.
Zari said that Diamond always lets other women treat her badly because she is the mother of his children. She made it clear that, now that she is married, she has no plans to get back together with her baby daddy.
Zari told him, "You keep letting these so-called 20-year-olds treat me badly just so you can get what you want." You can be with anyone you want as Diamond without telling me. I'm married now, and what you did hasn't been good for my marriage. It's crazy that the show only shows parts of the story.
Zari also pointed out that she had made it clear to Diamond that she was with someone else and couldn't have kids with him (though Netflix cut this part).
She was upset by the fact that some people respected Diamond but were rude to her. Zari said that she doesn't need him to help her with money because she can take care of her own needs on her own.
Zari made it clear that she only talks to Diamond about their kids, and she still loves the money he gives her for that purpose. But she asked him to stop putting her in situations with people who were looking for praise.
Zari said, "I've noticed that you need power to survive, and you can't live without it. I made a billion dollars on my own, and I won't have anything to do with your failed music business or your drama that has nothing to do with me. I don't want to be put in the same category as your many relationships and your nameless partners who never got known even though they had their five minutes of fame."
