3 people were rescued after an exchange of fire with gunmen in Kwara State
After shooting at the kidnappers, police officers and guards worked together to save three people in the Aboto area of the Asa local government in Kwara state.
Ibrahim, who is in charge of the Kwara Saka State Patrol Association, said that the people who had been taken were freed.
He said that one of the three people who were saved was a patrolman called Muiz Isiaka. He said that they were all taken last week, but in different places.
Ibrahim also said that Muiz was taken while he was driving his in-laws home after the meeting to name his new baby.
The president said that the three people were saved around 2 a.m., after the police and the kidnappers traded gunfire. None of them had to pay a ransom.
