50 Yahoos are caught by the EFCC in Oyo and Ondo.
The National Economic Fraud Commission (EFCC) said last Friday that 50 online scammers called "yahoos" had been caught in the states of Ogun and Oyo.
In the statement, the names of 47 people who were taken in Abeokuta were given. One of them was an employee of the Federal Medical Centre.
The EFCC's Publicity Secretary, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, signed a press release saying that on June 14, 47 people were caught in their hiding place in Idi-Aba in Abeokuta, which is the capital of Ogun State.
The statement also said that two other people were caught in the Idi-Igba neighborhood of Ibadan, which is the capital of Oyo State.
She also said that the police had taken someone into custody in Ibadan and given them to the EFCC.
