Expect diplomacy between Germany and Russia
The Russian Embassy in Moscow has received a letter from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs requesting that some minor Russian embassies in Germany be closed.
In retaliation for a similar diplomatic move made by Moscow, the German government has decided to close four of the five minor Russian embassies located within its borders.
The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs' spokeswoman stated at a press conference in Berlin that this is a measure to exact retribution for the infraction.
In addition, Germany will close its tiny embassies in Russia, including those in Kaliningrad, Ekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk, in November of next year.
