Former Justice Minister Denies That He Fleeed From Nigeria

Abubakar Malami, who used to be the Minister of Justice, has denied that he blew up his trousers because he was accused of taking bribes.

After Abdulrashid Bawa was removed as head of the EFCC, there were rumours that the former Minister of Justice had left the country to escape being arrested and investigated.

A source from the EFCC told the Daily Trust newspaper that the EFCC needs to talk to Abubakar Malami about how he might have been involved in the illegal sale of a barrel of 48 million crude oil for $2,400,000,000 in 2015.

The source said that the agency invited the former Minister of Justice, but that he turned down the agency's offer.
