Guardiola won the England Manager of the Year award

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has won the Association of Managers' annual Manager of the Season award.

Guardiola, who is 52 years old, has won this honor three times before. Managers from all departments vote for the best player of the year to get the Sir Alex Ferguson trophy.

For the third time in a row and five times in six years, the Spanish manager Guardiola took home the Premier League Manager's Award.

Even though he is still ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson with two awards, who at the time had won the trophy five times, Guardiola became the third manager to win the Manager of the Year award three times or more, which allowed him to tie David Moyes.

The best female manager award went to Emma Hayes, the head coach of the Chelsea women's football team, who has now received it four times in a row and six times overall.

After defeating Manchester United in the championship game, Chelsea manager Emma Hayes won the women's league and the FA Cup for the third time in a row.
