Gunmen in Zamfara killed a doctor and shot at children at an Islamic school.
Some robbers attacked the town of Jangebe in the Talatar Mafara local government in the state of Zamfara. According to reports, they killed people and took others hostage.
One of the people who died was a well-known doctor, and the thieves took the town's prince.
The doctor's brother talked to the BBC and said that the shooters went to the doctor's house around midnight.
He said, "They shot at him when they were going to the house. Four times, they shot him."
He also said that the thieves took the dead man's two wives and four children.
Also, some Islamic school children in the Shinkafi area were shot by people with guns.
Hon. Aliyu Moyi told the BBC that this was true and that some of the students were taken by the thieves, but no one was killed.
Even though the BBC called the spokesman for the Zamfara State Police Force, they did not say anything about the situation.
Right now, people who live in some local governments of Zamfara state are upset about how robbers are attacking them and killing a lot of people and taking others hostage for ransom.
This happens when the rain hits the area, where most people work on farms.
