The steps you need to take to get grants to study abroad have been made public by the Kano State Government.

The government of Kano state, which is in the north of Nigeria, has announced that scholarships for people in the state to get their second degree will be coming back.

The State Government wrote about the grant on its website and said that only people who live in the state will get it.

"After eight years of the previous government not giving scholarships for foreign postgraduate studies, the Governor of Kano, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has agreed to start giving foreign and domestic scholarships again from the 2023/2024 academic session," said a statement from the governor's spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

In order to get the grant, you have to be from Kano state.

Then, a person gets his first degree and gets the best grade possible, which is "First class." Then the college or university where a person got his degree should be known for its quality.

- The person who will get the help must also be in good health so that they can go somewhere and learn.

- The person who wants this grant must fill out the form that is on the website of the state government.

How to apply for the grant: Once you've met the requirements set by the state government, fill out the grant application form.

- You can download and fill out the form at www.kanostate.gov.ng/scholarship_application.

After the form is filled out, it will be attached to school documents like a citizenship certificate, a medical certificate showing that the person is healthy, a birth certificate, a primary education certificate, a WASC or GCE or SSCE certificate, and a degree certificate or a level of study that is equivalent to a degree.

All of these papers will be given to the secretary of the selection committee at the old meeting room of the office of the secretary to the government of Kano, building number 1 Wudil Road, Kano.

- These papers must be sent within two weeks of this letter being sent out.

In recent years, the government of Kano has often given awards to the people of the state. Despite the help from the government, some Kano residents have already become doctors, engineers, and pilots.

The Kano government said that the last scholarship was given when Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso was governor and paid for 503 kids to go to school in 14 different countries.
