Her father, Nasser Ferris, sold mobile homes, and her mother, Esther Ferris, was a model for a department store. They were both born in Lebanon and raised in the US.

At the age of six, Jeanine Pirro became interested enough in the law to want to become an attorney. She worked as an intern at the Chemung County District Attorney's office during her last year of high school. She then graduated from Elmira's Notre Dame High School in three years.

Jeanine Pirro went to the University of Buffalo and got a Bachelor of Arts. She was able to get her J.D. She went to Albany Law School at Union University and got her law degree in 1975. She was also the editor of the law review.
