Early Years

In 2012, he was an All-Star defender for the football team at Westlake High School. He was also the State Champion in wrestling in high school. After that, he went to Ohio University to study engineering. Between 2013 and 2014, he went from having 900 fans on social media sites to having 1.5 million. Career

A video compilation of his work from Vine was made and shared on YouTube. In April 2014, more than 4 million people watched the video in the first week it was online. Soon, he had 4 million people following him on Vine, and companies like HBO, Pepsi, Virgin Mobile, and others hired him to make paid videos for them. In 2015, he was the 10th most important person on Vine, and each of his short videos made him hundreds of thousands of dollars. Paul moved his show to YouTube after Vine shut down.

Today, almost 5 billion people have watched Logan's films. As of this writing, he has more than 20 million people who follow him on YouTube, 16 million people who follow him on Instagram, and 15 million people who like him on Facebook.

Suicide Forest Controversy

Paul put a movie he made at Aokigahara at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan on his YouTube channel on December 31, 2017. People often call this place the "suicide forest" because it is where many people have gone to end their lives. A dead body was hanging from a tree in Paul's film. The video was watched 6.3 million times in the first 24 hours after it was posted.  There were several online pleas that asked YouTube to get rid of Paul's channel. On January 1, 2018, Paul took the video down from his YouTube account and apologized in a tweet. On January 9, YouTube said on their Twitter account that they did not like Paul's movie. On January 10, YouTube said that it was taking Paul's feeds out of the Google Preferred program for ads. Paul also lost his job on the YouTube Red show "Foursome." After that, Paul gave $1 million to groups that work to stop people from killing themselves.

Other Disagreements

Early in February 2018, YouTube stopped putting ads on Paul's feeds because of his "pattern of behavior."  YouTube was talking about Paul's participation in the Tide Pod challenge, the time he took a fish out of his pond to, in his words, "jokingly give it CPR," and the time he filmed himself using a taser gun on two dead rats. During that time, Paul didn't make any money from people visiting his page. Two weeks later, YouTube put ads back on his channel. But he was on probation for 90 days, which meant that his station and its videos couldn't show up on YouTube's "trending" page.

Then, in January 2019, Paul said on his show, "What is it, male-only March?... We're going to try being gay for a month." Paul's comments were criticized by a lot of people, especially because he seemed to say that being gay is a choice.

Boxing matches by KSI

Logan Paul and KSI, another YouTuber, are known to dislike each other. On August 25, 2018, KSI and Logan had a pay-per-view boxing match that was called "the biggest internet event in history" On November 9, 2019, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, there was a second match. The first fight was seen live by 2.25 million people. One million paid to watch it, and another 1.2 million probably watched it illegally through Twitch feeds. In the end, about $13 million was made from the 1.3 million people who bought the fight through PPV. When other sources like goods are added in, it's likely that Logan and KSI each made around $2 million before taxes from the match. For the second fight, they were each promised at least $900,000 each. The second fight, which was shown by boxing company DAZN USA, probably made each of them more than $3 million.

Personal Life

In the fall of 2015, Paul lived in an apartment building in Hollywood with his roommates Mark Dohner and Evan Eckenrode. Other social media stars like Juanpa Zurita, Amanda Cerny, and Andrew Bachelor also lived there. Since they all lived close to each other, the group made videos for each of their sites together.

In the fall of 2017, Paul moved to a big house in Encino.

In July 2018, Paul and actress Chloe Bennet said they were seeing each other. Before making it public, they were said to have been dating for a year. In September of that same year, they broke up.

Paul is red-green colorblind.

Logan Paul revealed in May 2020 that he was dating model Josie Canseco, who is the daughter of famous baseball player Jose Canseco. In June 2020, he put a movie on YouTube called "I Bought My Girlfriend a Horse." It sounds like the couple had a little fight, so he bought Josie, who loves riding horses, her own horse to make up for it. The couple is seen riding two horses in the video, and Paul tells her that he bought both of them. He told her, "Totally yours. You can keep them even if we break up."

Salary Highlights

In 2016, Logan made $12.5 million. He made $12 million in 2017. He made $14.5 million in 2018. In 2019, he made a total of $10 million.

Real Estate

Logan Paul lived in this big house in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Encino for a few years:

He paid $6.55 million for the house in October 2017. It had been on the market for $8.5 million for a few months. The house has 14 rooms and is more than 30,000 square feet. Logan finally sold the house for $7.4 million in April 2022. Machine Gun Kelly bought it.

Logan has been living in Puerto Rico for the past few years. He rents a $13 million-plus mansion in the Ritz-Carlton private gated neighborhood.

Logan paid $1 million for an 80-acre property called Fobes Ranch in the San Jacinto Mountains about two hours east of downtown Los Angeles in 2019. In the 1960s, Timothy Leary, a Harvard professor who made LSD, lived at Fobes Ranch. Leary lived on the land and made LSD with a group of surfers from Laguna Beach who called themselves the "Brotherhood of Eternal Love."

Floyd Mayweather Boxing Match

Logan and Floyd Mayweather fought in a professional boxing match on June 6, 2021. Logan is said to have worked out a deal that gives him a base salary of $250,000 and 10% of Pay Per View earnings. Mayweather was said to have been promised $10 million just to show up, plus a huge 50% of the PPV income.

Logan said that the fight would bring him at least $20 million. Floyd said his earnings would be more than $50 million.

In fact, about 1 million people bought tickets to the fight. So, Floyd probably made around $35 million and Logan probably made around $5.25 million.
