May Yul-Edochie sues Instagram user over ‘doctored picture’
May Yul-Edochie, a Nigerian entrepreneur and the estranged wife of the actor Yul Edochie, has filed legal action against an Instagram user who reportedly published a doctored picture of her and her family. May Yul-Edochie and Yul Edochie have been married for ten years.
In an Instagram post published on Friday, May stated that she had instructed her legal team to initiate legal action against one Sarah Chukwukere, who goes by the moniker @officialsarahmartins, for posting a photo of the businesswoman and her children that had been digitally altered.
The aforementioned picture was originally a Christmas snapshot taken with May and all four of her children in it. Chukwukere, on the other hand, published an altered version of the photograph in which Yul Edochie, his second wife, Judy Austin, and the couple's first child together were included.
May is also making threats to sue Sarah for making "false and injurious" statements about her during an Instagram live session with well-known media personality Daddy Freeze. May claims that these statements were made during the session.
It was said in the letter dated February 1, 2023 that Sarah insinuated during the live chat that May "failed in her duties as a wife to Mr. Yul Edochie and that such failures led Mr. Yul Edochie to leave our Client (May) and get married to Ms. Judy Austin." The letter was sent in response to the live chat that May had participated in with Sarah.
A public apology, a complete retraction of the statement, and a promise that such false utterances will not be made in the future are all included in the list of requests that have been presented.
If Chukwukere does not comply with the aforementioned requests, May has further threatened to file a lawsuit seeking damages in the amount of 500 million Nigerian naira.
