Nasarawa State House of Assembly Elected Two Speakers
Nigeria's Nasarawa State House of Assembly is in disarray because there was a split in the House, which led both sides to choose a leader at different times.
Ibrahin Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House, held the election of the Speaker of the House of Assembly in the main meeting hall of the Ministry of Local Government for safety reasons. Daniel Ogah Ogazi's side, however, broke into the House of Assembly and held their own election in the House of Assembly. But he didn't get sworn in by the Clerk of Parliament.
Mohammed Adamu Omadefu, who represents Keana in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, said that the party and other important people used to give advice on who should be the Speaker of the House so that things could move forward.
On the other hand, Daniel Ogah Ogazi, who says he is the Speaker of the House, said that they followed the law.
Barista Yusuf Shehu Usman, who spoke on daily events, said that both sides are breaking the law, which can hurt the growth of the community.
People who had trouble choosing their leaders hope that their leaders will follow the rules that will bring peace and progress in many areas.
