Nigerian don found dead in US
A Nigerian professor who lived in the United States and went by the name Marinus Iwuchukwu and a woman named Charce Dunn were found dead in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
They were found dead along Thorncrest Drive in Wilkins Township, Pittsburg, on Tuesday around 10 am. A "domestic disturbance" was said to have happened earlier that morning.
The Allegheny County Police said they got a call asking them to check on a couple at home.
A third party couldn't get in touch with the male resident and told the police that the guy had been stabbed. A gun was kept inside the house by a woman who stayed there.
Action News 4 in Pittsburgh says that when the SWAT team went into the house, they found a 59-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman dead.
Duquesne Catholic University, where Iwuchukwu worked as an associate professor of theology until his death, sent condolences to the late don's family and friends.
The university's spokesman, Gabriel Welsch, said in a statement, "This is a tragedy for everyone involved, and our thoughts and prayers are with Professor Iwuchukwu's colleagues, students, friends, and family."
