NLC Denies That It Will Go On Strike
The NLC Labor Union has refuted rumors that it will begin a strike today in protest of the federal government's decision to end fuel subsidies.
When the federal government's representatives and the union leaders met last Wednesday to discuss the removal of the fuel subsidy, there was no agreement reached.
Following the release of this information, rumors began to spread that the NLC had decided to go on strike today, Friday, to protest the removal of oil subsidies.
Benson Upah, the NLC group's spokesperson, urged Nigerians to disregard the reports and stated that their organization would continue to update the public on the situation and the steps she would take after her meeting with federal government officials today.
