Student Loans will be issued between September and October

The federal government said that it plans to start giving out student loans between September and October of the current year, 2023.

David Adejo, who is the Secretary General of the Federal Ministry of Education, told the press about this today in Abuja. He was talking about the bill that President Bola Tinubu signed.

Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila's bill about student loans says that poor Nigerian students can get loans with no interest.

Adejo said that the law will make it easy for poor Nigerians to go to college by giving them loans from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund that don't charge interest.
