Students protested against the abduction of their brothers in Zamfara
The students at the Federal University in Gusau in Zamfara state held a protest to show how sad they were that thieves in the state had taken some of their fellow students.
When the angry students stopped the road from Gusau to Funtua, many people were stuck.
From Damba to Sabon-Gida, which is next to the university, people started to gather to protest.
Even though there were security troops in Gusau, the students blocked the main road that connects the state to Sokoto, Katsina, and Kaduna.
The students said that their friends were taken by robbers on Friday night in Damba town, which is outside of Gusau city.
Monday is when tests are supposed to start at the university, but the students said they won't let the exams start until their family members are freed.
People are being taken hostage in Zamfara state, which is one of the areas in northern Nigeria that has this problem.
