The Chairman of INEC has sent more messages than Emefiele, he should be sacked - Buba Galadima
President Bola Tinubu was urged to oust Mahmood Yakubu as the head of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by the NNPP leader, Buba Galadima.
In an interview with Channels television, he was heard.
Galadima charged the INEC head with undermining Nigerians' ability to vote in the most recent presidential election.
He claimed that what Yakubu did went beyond the "sins" that CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele had engaged in.
"The INEC chairman must resign because what he accomplished was superior to Godwin Emefiele's work. He planned to intimidate Nigerians alongside others. He said, "He did the biggest crime someone could commit.
Yakubu's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has come under heavy fire for failing to release election results as promised; the INEC put the failure down to technical difficulties.
The election monitoring team from the European Union stated at a press conference on Tuesday that the commission's reputation has been severely tarnished.
Festus Okoye, however, countered that the issue with the results' publishing from the presidential election on February 25 should not invalidate the outcome of the country's election as a whole.
He asserted that it was incorrect to judge all of the commission's actions in light of the errors in the presidential election.
Galadima elaborated on the television appearance by telling Peter Obi of the Labour party and former vice president Atiku Abubakar of the PDP that they were wasting their time by contesting President Bola Tinubu's victory.
Atiku and Obi made an appearance in court to contest Tinubu's victory.
Galadima, who asserted that the marriage was consummated incorrectly, noted that since 1979, neither the courts nor the results of the presidential election have ever rejected it.
