The former Bank of Nigeria governor's arrest has been confirmed by the DSS.
The late Governor Godwin Emefiele is in her hands, according to the Nigerian DSS.
In case it is forgotten, the agency's denial of Emefiele's arrest by DSS agents following the announcement of the arrest led to the rescue.
However, Peter Afunanya, the commission's spokesperson, acknowledged in a statement released on Saturday that Emefiele is in their custody and that they are looking into him.
The notification urged the media to exercise caution when reporting on the occurrence.
The suspension and arrest of Emefiele are related to the issue of changing the type of the country's currency notes, which he did right when the general election was planned, according to some sources from the presidential palace who spoke to the local newspaper Daily Trust.
However, based on the decision he made, where he acknowledged that his job was done in accordance with the law, the governor of the CBN rejected any infringement of the law.
The next Friday, Emifiele was ordered to turn over control of the bank to his administrative deputy by Nigerian President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, who had suspended him from his job.
