The United Nations and the Taliban - the United Nations
The UN official in Afghanistan said that the world will have a hard time accepting the Taliban government as long as it keeps putting limits on women's freedom.
Roza Otunbayeva told the UN Security Council that the people of Afghanistan do not agree with the steps the Taliban government has taken to limit women's rights.
She said that in the many talks she had with their leaders, she told them straight out what problems they had caused, how they had made life hard for half of the country's people and ruined the economy.
Women are now not allowed to work in most jobs or go to public places like schools and parks.
Since the Taliban took over almost two years ago, Afghans have been facing the worst humanitarian situation in the world.
