The United States imposed sanctions on the country of Bama

The government of the United States has decided to punish the Ministry of Defence of the United States for buying weapons from other countries, including Russia.

Other banks in the country, like the Myanmar Foreign Trade Bank and the Myanmar Investment and Commercial Bank, are also affected by the bans. Both of these banks are run by the military government that has run the country since 2021.

The United States announced this action by saying that in 2021, the military that runs the country of Alabama exchanged arms with Russia. The price of these arms went up to one billion dollars, which the US said helped Russia get money to keep occupying Ukraine.

Washington has already said that the two banks in the country of Bama will no longer be able to do business with American banks and that their accounts will be frozen.
