Earlier, the DSS officers entered her office in Lagos and blocked the entrance to the agency with armored trucks, according to the Anti-Corruption Commission, EFCC.


NIGERIA'S ABUJA - The DSS, which took over the EFCC office in Ikoyi, Lagos State, on Tuesday, has been asked by President Tinubu to leave it as soon as possible.

Following the altercation between the DSS and the  EFCC, President Bola Tinubu intervened when the DSS officials stormed the EFCC office and barred the anti-graft agents from accessing their office. the location where you could hear shooting.  

President Bola Tinubu had instructed the DSS to leave the position, according to Tunde Rahman, the president's spokeswoman in a statement that he signed.

According to the President, if there is interference between the two highly important agencies, it should be resolved amicably.

Wilson Uwajeren, the spokesman for the EFCC National Agency, said in a statement to the press that the DSS's decision is concerning because they have been residing and performing their jobs in this premises for more than 20 years.


The EFCC claimed that DSS agents visited its office at 15 Awolowo Street in Ikoyin, Lagos State, and barred its employees from entering the facility to perform their responsibilities.


According to the EFCC, this DSS action has stopped more than 500 employees from putting off their duties and all the court cases that are scheduled to be heard that day.

The DSS, in contrast, said in its answer that it had not infiltrated the EFCC, despite what some Nigerian tabloids had claimed. According to DSS, they have visited numerous locations that are on their property and are carrying out their operations in accordance with the laws of the nation.

DSS claimed that there is no question or confusion over this building, that everyone knows it to be hers, and that she will be shocked if anyone even knows who the owner of this building is.


In a statement to the Voice of America, Dr. Peter Afunyaya, the national DSS spokesperson, stated that this structure is owned by the old National Security Organization, or NSO, which is now SSS/DSS.


According to the DSS, the EFCC and it are working side by side in harmony and stability, thus as far as it is aware, there are no issues in any form.
