We will not hold peace talks with the bandits - the Zamfara government


The government of Nigeria's Zamfara State has said that it will never talk to the bandits who are causing trouble in the state about making peace.


Alhaji Abubakar Nakwada, the Secretary to the State Government, told reporters in Gusau that the new government has no plans to talk to a bandit boss or their representative about a peace deal that hasn't been agreed upon. do not work.


Nakwada said that the government is ready to crush the robbers and the people who support them.


The secretary also said that the government will work hard with the help of security agents to find the bandits where they hide.


The officer also said that the previous government, which was led by former governor Mohammed Bello Matawalle, spent billions of naira on projects that don't help the people of the state directly.



He said that the new government would do everything it could to get back some of the state's assets, like the cars that the old government bought and gave to its family members.


Zamfara State is one of the northern Nigerian states that has been attacked the most by bandits. These people take people and hold them for ransom, and in some cases they just kill people they don't like.
