11 people lost their lives in a terrible car accident

According to the National Disaster Management Authority in Nigeria, a catastrophic accident involving three vehicles yesterday on the highway from Ore to Benin resulted in 11 fatalities.

The tragedy on Thursday morning affected 19 persons, including 10 men, 8 women, and one young child; 11 of them perished, while 8 sustained injuries.

According to the FRSC of Nigeria, the collision was caused by a minibus, a bus and a Dangote trailer, and one of the vehicles' poor braking was to blame.

In Nigeria, traffic accidents, particularly those involving two or more cars, continue to be a major source of fatalities.

According to data given by the National Statistics Agency, 6,205 lives were lost in 2021 compared to 5,574 deaths in 2020.
