12 people died in a building collapse in Cameroon
Authorities and firefighters in Cameroon reported that a building collapsed in Douala, the nation's commercial hub, on Sunday, causing at least 12 fatalities and 21 injuries.
Around 1:00 AM GMT, a four-story building in the city's north collapsed on another building, a senior fire official told the AFP news agency.
Charles Elie Zang Zang, a councilman for the Douala local administration, claimed that rescuers are searching the building's rubble for survivors.
13 injured persons were brought to the Laquintinie Hospital in Douala, which reported that two of them, including a three-year-old kid and a 19-year-old woman, had passed away.
