A suicide bomber killed 44 people in Pakistan
A deadly bomb attack killed at least 44 people at a meeting of a political party linked to Islam in the northwestern region of Pakistan.
Agence France-Presse said more than 400 participants were under a tent when a bomb exploded in the town of Khar, near the Afghan border.
An eyewitness, Sabeeh Ula, said that the bomb went off when they were waiting for the leaders of the party to arrive.
The Minister of Health in charge of the region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that hospitals have confirmed the death of 44 people, while 123 others have received various injuries.
