Abba Gida-Gida Gives 6,166 Kano Pilgrims 65 Million

6,166 Kano State pilgrims who participated in the 2023 Hajj in the holy land received 65 million naira in donations from Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi'u Danbappa, the director general of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, said this on Monday during the meeting that followed the Hajj in Makkah.

Every pilgrim will receive 50 riyals, he said.

According to the General Director, this was done to ensure the safety of the pilgrims in the holy place.

He urged the pilgrims to make wise use of the gift money.

Then he urged the travelers to keep making an effort to behave well while in the holy place.

"The pilgrims will return exactly as they entered the holy land," he declared.

According to Danbappa, the agency would begin distributing 32 kilo bags to Kano state residents in addition to the governor's Sallah gift.

The Chief Director urged the pilgrims to exercise patience and to pray for peace and stability in Nigeria, particularly in Kano state.

Additionally, Danbappa asked God to accept their Hajj and deliver them safely home.
