Actress Mimi Orjiekwe allegedly got caught up in an N700 million swindle.
The Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Ikoyi, Lagos state is said to have apprehended Nollywood actress Mimi Orjiekwe on Monday night due to a failed N700 million contract.
According to reports, the movie star failed to fulfil the multi-million naira contract that businessman Mr. Micheal Diongoli had given her.
Blogger Cuttie Julls claims that Mr. Micheal Diongoli paid Mimi Orjiekwe a total of N700,000,000 (seven hundred million naira) to get the procurement contract for the delivery of specified domestic interior-design furniture items, but she did not fulfil the promise.
Witnesses claim that Mimi Orjiekwe had been missing for almost two months after collecting the businessman's N700 million.
According to the information provided about her capture, "Mr. Micheal Diongoli had filed a petition to the Ikoyi law enforcement police department to help locate and arrest Mimi Orjiekwe who was at large."
It has been determined that Mr. Michael Diongoli paid Mimi Orjiekwe a total of 700 million naira (seven hundred million naira) in order to obtain the procurement contract for the supply of particular furniture pieces for home interior design.
Mimi Orjiekwe, however, has failed to supply the requested things.
It's widely believed among Mimi's inner circle that the actress previously confided in a select few that she was certain Mr. Michael Diongoli would spend a significant amount of time in prison due to his problems with the Nigerian Interpol.
Guess fate got on Mimi's bad side because Michael Diongoli was just freed by Interpol and had been counting on Mimi to finish the task he had hired her for. However, all attempts to get Mimi to do so have failed because it is believed that she spent the money for other purposes.
