French protests: Mayors protest

In France, mayors came together to voice their opposition to the demonstrations that have been taking place for the past week after a police officer killed Nahel, a 17-year-old teenager.

The data show that once the French government intervened to quell the rioters who were torching and destroying stores, the protests started to calm down.

After demonstrators attacked a mayor's residence across from Paris on Monday, when the day began with demonstrations, the mayor of France urged the nation's citizens to return to the road of the mutant laws.

Now that the Mayor and other local governments are being targeted in the name of protest, a sizable number of people have turned out today to demonstrate their support for them.

The French Ministry of the Interior has deployed 45,000 police officers, including the gendarmerie, throughout France in the past night in an effort to address one of the main problems President Emmanuel Macron is experiencing in his administration.
