In two months, we've gotten 1500 applications from Nigerians – The Guinness World Record screams
The Guinness World Records (GWR) has said that in just two months, they have gotten over 1,500 applications from people in Nigeria.
In May, a Nigerian chef named Hilda Baci broke the record for the longest cook-a-thon by a person. This made people want to try to break more Guinness World Records.
Chef Hilda Baci did an amazing thing when she set the record for the longest cooking session by a single person. Since then, a lot of Nigerians have jumped on this trend.
The group in charge of keeping the records said that after Hilda Baci's successful try, many Nigerians eagerly joined this trend.
"The attention and excitement that Hilda Baci's cooking marathon got was certainly a reason for many Nigerians to think about trying to break a Guinness World Records title," the record body said.
"Since she tried to break the record, the number of applications from Nigeria, especially for marathon records, has gone up."
"Since the beginning of May, Nigerians have asked for more than 1,500 records."
