Government officials in South Korea reported that thousands of people have been forced out of their houses owing to flooding, and that seven people have died and three are missing as a result of the tremendous rains that have been recorded there.
Many Korean regions have been inundated during the last three days as a result of the rain, and according to the local media, the death toll could rise further. Approximately 6,000 people in central Goesan were told to leave the area as the local dam started to flood due to the severe rainfall and engulf the adjacent settlements.
