LAGBAJA'S WARNING TO MANGU AREA GUARDIANS: Bring your weapons or we will kill you
The youth of Mangu and the surrounding environs have been threatened by Nigerian Army Commander-in-Chief Taoreed Lagbaga to bring their weapons or the army will murder them.
At a gathering for the armed men who are also terrorising Plateau and its vicinity, Lagbaja issued this warning.
The CAN Organisation, the people, Miyetti Allah, and the Maugu tribe all attended the meeting, which was held in the town of Mangu on the day of Azabar.
This is a warning to any parent who is aware that their child has a pistol hidden; he should go get it right away. Because everyone detected in possession of a firearm will be shot without due process.
More than 300 people have died as a result of the conflict in Mangu since April. More than 80,000 people lost their environment.
He added that the Nigerian Army would end the crisis in Plateau State in mid-July.
Lagbaja emphasised that the Nigerian Army had come up with a solution to the Plateau State conflict.
He claimed that among other areas, farmers and breeders were at the centre of the majority of Plateau confrontations.
He did, however, add that President Bola Tinubu and the military are quite concerned about what happened recently in Mangu.
"Persuade you that the issue you raised can be resolved in the place where it is more appropriate to do so."
The problem can be deemed to have been solved because of the remedies we have proposed.
According to Lagbaja, the Governor met with the relevant parties to discuss how to bring about peace and put an end to the violence.
He also suggested that Caleb develop a system for internal security.
He also suggested that the Governor produce old reports because he saw what ought to have been done but wasn't.
