Macky Sall of Senegal will not be far away

Senegalese President Macky Sall announced that he will not seek reelection for a third time as a result of the controversy surrounding his indications that he wanted to run for office months ago. In Senegal, he has been in charge since 2012.

Macky Sall declared he would not run for re-election in Senegal.

Sall, 61, stated in a broadcast speech to the nation that while the Senegalese constitution provides him the right to run, he will not do so because he does not want to incite bloodshed in his nation.
