NASA 2024 TechRise Student Challenge scholarship
For the NASA TechRise Student Challenge 2021, applications are now being accepted. Schools are asked to assist NASA in its aim to expand space exploration and improve understanding of Earth, from remote sensing and climate studies to microgravity experiments and technology to explore the Moon.
Your challenge is to form a team with your schoolmates and develop an experiment for one of the following flight test vehicles if you are in sixth through 12th grade at a public, private, or charter school in the United States.
Approximately three minutes of microgravity (i.e., weightlessness) during a suborbital rocket.
The high-altitude balloon flies for more than four hours at 70,000 feet while providing vistas of the world and exposure to the atmosphere.
Scholarships are designed for our country's future leaders in a variety of academic subjects. Seniors in high school and all other students enrolled in postsecondary institutions are eligible for this scholarship.

NASA TechRise Student Challenge's Objectives and Benefits
1. Each of the 57 winning teams will receive $1,500 to build their experiment, a flight box that was 3D printed for the experiment, and a designated spot on a NASA-sponsored suborbital flight.
The winning team's members will have access to a variety of resources, including a computer program that will allow them to simulate the effects of a real-world situation.
Requirements for NASA TechRise Student Challenge Qualification
1. Schools that serve students in grades 6 through 12 that are public, private, or charter schools incorporated in and maintaining a primary place of business in the United States are eligible to form a Team (or many Teams) and enter.
2. Each team must have a minimum of four students. No cap on how many students can be on a team.
3. Schools maintained by the United States for the children of American servicemen abroad are included in the list of eligible schools. Department of Defence Dependents Schools and other schools regarded as Federal Entities are not eligible schools.

5. If a school qualifies for Title 1, it receives a bonus point of five.

How to Apply Are you qualified and interested? To apply, visit NASA at www.futureengineers.org.
1. Students: Work with your school team to develop an experiment idea, then complete the proposal template's questions. Give your teacher your finished proposal.
2. Teachers/Educators: Assemble your students' team proposal and submit it together. Teachers are allowed to submit an unlimited number of proposals, but they must each be distinct.
