NDLEA has arrested a student who attempted to smuggle nuts to Europe
A student was detained at the Abuja Airport by the Nigerian Drug Enforcement Administration (NDLEA) for reportedly trying to carry 7.2 kilogrammes of drugs to Europe, where he is studying.
The methamphetamine and dried fish were bundled together in a bag by the student Benjamin Nnamani Daberechi.
When the student was going to board the plane, he was detained during the baggage check.
Daberechi claimed to be a student studying in Cyrus' nation while being questioned by the agency's officials prior to his detention, but when they proceeded to check his baggage, they discovered the narcotic in a bag with dried fish.
In a statement he released, the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, said the preliminary investigation indicated that it was methamphetamine.
