 NITDA Scholarship
will teach 30.000 people about blockchain technology.


For the purpose of enhancing career skill sets in burgeoning technologies, the Federal Government will train approximately 30,000 Nigerians on blockchain technology.


The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in association with a provider of Blockchain Solutions, will carry out the training.


The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, announced the programme at the Blockchain-day of "Digital Nigeria" event. He claimed the scholarship-based training will assist "accelerate blockchain adoption in Nigeria and make Nigeria a global player in the blockchain industry."


In order to become "early solution providers in the fourth industrial revolution," he urged Nigerians to utilise the scholarship.


In response to the news, Mr. Mohammed Jega, the co-founder of the partnered organisation for the training, reaffirmed the organization's dedication to providing "quality education and equipping participants with the skills to build real-life blockchain solutions".


In all of the federation's states, the programme will be conducted in a hybrid mode (virtual and in-person gatherings).

Outstanding project teams have the chance to enrol in a London incubation programme, while other teams will be introduced to the BSV Ecosystem where they can participate in other projects.
