People's Opinions Are Different On ECOWAS Orders To Niger Army
People continue to express different opinions about the action taken by the ECOWAS group against the military that made a coup in Niger and the order to return the government to civilian hands.
The decision of ECOWAS has become a subject of study and discussion for commentators where some say that the organization is too strict while others say that it is correct.
The head of the council of trustees of the northern regions, Nastura Ashir Sharif, said that the decision will restrict the lives of the poor and the possibility of falling into the state of Sudan.
Nastura Sharif suggested the establishment of a committee of elders of the former leaders of ECOWAS countries to go to Niamey and create interests.
Shu'aibu Gabchari who is the former chairman of Darazo local government in Bauchi state said that he supported ECOWAS because that is how we will get results in a short period of time.
Gabchari said that all African people support President Bazoum.
Abubakar Khalidou, a resident of Abuja from the Republic of Niger, said that Bazoum made a mistake in his statement of wanting to withdraw from France.
Khalidou said he was not surprised by what happened because Niger is ruled by two people, a senior and a junior.
Khalidou also requested that their soldiers be left in power for two years before knowing the next step.
