Russia is ready to hold talks with Ukraine - Putin
President Vladmir Putin reaffirmed that although the Kyiv government is putting up a fight, Russia is willing to dialogue with Ukraine.
The President of Russia was replying to the remarks made by Moussa Faki Mahamat, the chairman of the African Union, who stated that the AU places significant weight on the Programme for the creation of equality and independence of countries as well as the peaceful resolution of problems via compromise.
But despite the fact that Moscow is in possession of close to 5% of its land, Ukraine has consistently said that it will not take part in negotiations with Moscow.
But Russia insisted that any conversation must take into account its position in order to preserve the honour and security of the nation.
